Owing to this painted handkerchief , I had the opportunity to see and touch the original Magsaysay award’s medal ….. The first time ever in my life… The medal is so breathtakingly beautiful.
Several weeks ago, I had to prepare the art kits and some modeled pictures for my lesson to teach the children in one local community on how to paint a handkerchief using pastel colours. In order to demonstrate to my students the technique, methods and the end result, I used colour crayons to draw a picture on the handkerchief, a picture of someone truly special, with an inspiring story of a role model for the children.

C'est vraiment un honneur pour moi de recevoir le prix Ramon Magsaysay Award 2009, le prix qui honore l'héritage d'un éminent homme d'État et signifie la contribution de transformation du développement humain en Asie.
On se demande combien d'entre nous allons consacrer nos vies de façon désintéressée pour améliorer la vie des autres. Combien de personnes ont les qualifications pharmaceutiques essentials et la détermination de défendre l'égalité sociale et le droit des personnes qui sont infectées par le VIH / SIDA malgré tous les obstacles à des soins gratuits?

After so many years of studying, students are so excited to reach their graduation and turn a new page of their lives. Amidst the excitement and apprehension of entering a new and daunting world of adulthood, they may not pause to think of the teachers whom they are leaving behind and who wish them the success and the best of everything in life. Time goes by and our memory of our teachers start to fade away like a ferryboat that transports us across the river and we now forget all about it.
